Each modem has both UART and USB connection options. When using a higher level OS, you have multiple options for how to use the modem. Windows devices require a specific driver to support the USB interface. Linux devices can use various stacks like PPP, QMI, CDC-NCM, or CDC-ETH to create a direct connection to the internet. Each method has a different set of commands and syntax to get the connections started. We've created many application notes to help get each of these unique connection methods established with different end devices. Attached to this ticket are all the application notes that describe the different steps to connect for each product type.
